ERAGON: A SUMMARY= PART THREE

Surprisingly, Eragon, Murtagh and Saphira discovered that the Urgals somehow tracked them down and were now hunting for them. As time ran out, Eragon contacted Arya and managed to get the password to gain entry to the Varden's base camp. But when they were nearing their destination, Murtagh began to show reluctance to enter the Varden's base. Yet, since the Urgals were already too near, Murtagh had no choice but to submit to Eragon's wishes. Inside the camp, a bald magician performed a mind-read to justify if Eragon was an ally of a foe. When it came to Murtagh, he vehemently opposed every attempt to enter his mind. This aroused the suspicion of the whole Varden. One thing led to another, and before they knew what was happening; the three companions were standing in front of the Varden's leader, Ajihad, who revealed the identity of Murtagh as the son of Morzan, one of the Forsworn {Dragonriders sworn to Galbatorix} and the owner of Eragon's sword, Zar'roc, before Brom killed him and took the sword as a trophy. After hearing Murtagh's refusal to be given a mind-read; Ajihad ordered his men to put Murtagh in a jail cell. Many days followed, and Eragon began to be acquainted with the people of the Varden. One significant thing was what the dwarves called him-"ARGETLAM"- which means silver hand, referring to his gedwey ignasia. The bald magician who read Eragon's mind was actually one of the strongest magicians of the Varden, the leader of the Varden's magician's league, "The Wandering Path", and the one half of the Twins, with his twin brother as the other half. The two magicians were the ones who tested Eragon's skill with magic. The Twins contested Eragon's every effort to cast a spell with their own magic, but fortunately for Eragon, he was able to join his magic with Saphira's to beat the Twins at their own game. The trial by arms was supposed to be supervised by a hefty axeman, but Arya, who was given Tunivor' Nectar to be healed, was the one who took supervision of the test. Obviously, Arya won, since dwarves, elves, dragons, and other creatures were inherently stronger than any human. More days passed, and Eragon visited Murtagh, who was living quite lavishly in a simple room, aside from the fact that it was house arrest. He also became acquainted with other magicians, the council of the Varden, Nasuada-Ajihad's daughter- and the general locality of the Varden. Eragon also saw Nagela and Solembum, with whom he told of Brom's death. The respite was short however, since Durza and the Urgals attacked the base of the Varden. Here, Eragon and Saphira first experienced war. Hundreds of Urgals swarmed inside the tunnels of Farthen Dur, and thousands perished under Sahira's claws, Arya's rapier, Angela's staff, Solembum's dagger, Eragon's Zar'roc, and Murtagh's hand and a half sword. But, the dreaded Durza suddenly appeared and began to fight with Eragon in a one on one duel. But, against all odds, Eragon won the battle due to the distraction made by Saphira and Arya by breaking the Crystal of Farthen Dur. But, Durza was able to pierce Eragon's back, sending waves of dark energy into his spine. So ends ERAGON.... Next time, it's ELDEST!!!!!!!!!!!
